Senior leadership opportunity to oversee construction surveillance activities on a significant renewable energy program.
Our client is responsible for delivering critical infrastructure to support Renewable Energy projects. Due to the scale and complexity of the program, our client is seeking an experienced Surveillance Manager to lead and oversee construction surveillance activities across multiple work fronts.
Reporting to a Project Director and based in Mudgee (or DIDO from Sydney), this role will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing surveillance activities to ensure contractors comply with safety, quality, environmental, and contractual requirements. You will lead a team of surveillance engineers/officers and work closely with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders including contractors, government agencies, and community representatives.
This role will suit a senior construction or surveillance professional with strong leadership capability, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience working on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or transmission projects.
Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in construction surveillance, site management, or delivery roles
* Proven experience managing surveillance teams and site-based personnel
* Strong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental compliance frameworks
* Experience in the energy sector, transmission lines, or major infrastructure projects
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve non-compliance issues efficiently
* Experience managing budgets and resources
* Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
* Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and managing surveillance activities across construction works
* Developing and implementing surveillance plans and procedures
* Monitoring contractor compliance and managing corrective actions
* Maintaining accurate inspection, surveillance, and incident records
* Liaising with internal project teams and external stakeholders
* Supporting site logistics and resource coordination
