We seek a dynamic, innovative, and experienced Occupational Therapy leader for our Adult and Aged Community Mental Health programs
* Permanent, Full-time: 80 hours per fortnight with flexible monthly arrangements
* Salary: $128k + Superannuation
* The role is based at the community clinic where the incumbent works - St Kilda Road Clinic or Caulfield Hospital

Our primary goal is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual efforts, and minimizes service system barriers.
About The Role
You will be responsible for the clinical and professional development of occupational therapists and coordinating services within adult and aged community programs.
Maintain clinical standards within the mentioned programs and promote occupational therapy informed interventions, research, and evaluation.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Demonstrated leadership in OT practice within public mental health services
* Extensive supervision experience and capacity to foster ongoing professional development and care standards
* Extensive clinical experience working collaboratively with individuals with mental health disorders and their families
* Innovative approach to discipline-specific perspectives and contemporary practice in clinical care systems
* Practice knowledge of mental health legislation and current policies
* Ability to provide and ensure secondary and tertiary consultation to other areas of Alfred Health and community services
* Generating ideas, creating learning programs, and facilitating opportunities/professional development with clinical mental staff
* Knowledge of relevant legislation such as The Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and The Children, Youth and Families Act
Qualifications
* Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia via AHPRA
* Minimum of seven to ten years post-graduate clinical experience is desirable
* Post-graduate qualifications or working towards them
