About the Role
This is a hands‐on, site‐based finance role focused on financial reporting, inventory accounting, and cost control within a cultivation environment.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key role in supporting day‐to‐day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing insights to support operational decision‐making.
*This role is site‐based, located on the boundary of Ipswich and Scenic Rim regions
Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly financial reports, including variance analysis (Actual vs Budget/Forecast)
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including rolling forecasts
* Manage inventory accounting and ensure integrity of stock and cost data
* Monitor cost performance and support cost control initiatives across the site
* Partner with operations to provide financial insights and support decision‐making
* Assist with month‐end close processes and reporting timelines
* Maintain and strengthen financial controls and reporting processes
* Support continuous improvement of reporting tools, systems, and workflows
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline
* CA / CPA (or working towards) preferred
* 4–7 years of experience in accounting or finance
* Background as a Senior Accountant or Financial Accountant
* Experience in manufacturing, production, or inventory‐driven environments highly regarded
* Strong attention to detail and technical accounting capability
* Comfortable working in a fast‐paced, operational environment

* Proven experience strengthening controls, inventory accounting, and reporting frameworks.
* Experience working in the medicinal cannabis industry would be advantageous.
