Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. At NBMLHD, there is an excellent opportunity available for a talented Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Respiratory Rapid Access team. You will work closely with a advanced clinical trainees to perform acute respiratory assessments, review medical history and treatment plans and communicate complex clinical information with patients both in-clinic and via virtual care appointments.
You will make a real impact as a part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, assisting to reduce unnecessary Emergency Department presentations and facilitating smooth discharges for the appropriate patients.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Current registration as Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in Acute Care Nursing (preferably Respiratory) as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
* Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
* Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
* Preferred experience in the management of Respiratory care and/or procedures such as draining PleurX Catheters, education to patients around existing or new medications for example Clexane Injection education (specific to Pulmonary Embolic patients) experience providing education to patients around use of COPD/Asthma Action Plans.
