Team Leader Festival and Events Coordinator
Job Description:
As a Team Leader Festival and Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating festival events in Cairns. This includes designing, delivering, and managing festivals to bring the community together and celebrate the unique spirit of Cairns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with local arts partners and Council business units to produce cultural experiences.
• Manage event logistics and ensure all activities align with Council's strategic goals.
• Collaborate with a talented creative team to drive creative innovation and build strong partnerships.
Requirements:
• Tertiary qualifications in Events Management, Arts or a relevant discipline,
• Or demonstrated experience in creative programming, community events, and festival development.

• A deep understanding of key trends, audience development, community engagement, and placemaking principles relating to festival events.
• High-level knowledge of the arts, creative industries, and event sectors.
