Pioneer machine learning at Zip and actually see things into production.
The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will be the technical go-to for everything across this functionality. You will support us to develop a world-class AI/ML technology stack and MLOps capabilities to further enhance the incredible Zip customer experience.
We're looking for someone with extensive hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions using industry-leading platforms and tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Anthropic, Langchain etc.
You'll work closely with our awesome Data Scientists, you will discover and validate problems to facilitate quicker data science decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Critically assess existing machine learning technologies and recommend new ways of working.
* Develop a deep understanding of AI/MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and end-to-end model lifecycle management in production environments.
* Develop and maintain a world-class AI/ML technology stack and MLOps capabilities.
* Support the development of a machine learning maturity roadmap which will be utilised across the AU business as well as influencing our data science and ML strategy.
Requirements:
* Extensive hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions using industry-leading platforms and tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Anthropic, Langchain etc.
* Proven expertise in production-grade data science workflows, particularly with Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS.
* Experience developing with advanced AI agent architectures, including multi-agent systems, RAG, and tooling such as MCPs.
* Deep understanding of AI/MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and end-to-end model lifecycle management in production environments.
* Skilled in DevOps practices, with hands-on experience using Git, Terraform, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
