In this role, you'll supervise and inspire young female students within a residential environment, contributing to their social, emotional, educational, physical, and spiritual well‐being.

Duties

* Provide mentorship and guidance throughout their educational journey.
* Implement behaviour management practices within the boarding house.
* Foster a supportive environment for students.
* Organize and supervise recreational activities, encouraging participation.
* Transport students to appointments and sporting events.
* Sleep overnight at the Boarding House to ensure student safety and support.
* Facilitate pastoral care, particularly working with young people.
* Be responsible for the safety and well‐being of students on shifts which enables best practice of operations and adherence to college and community expectations.
* Perform any necessary administrative duties including appropriate reporting and documenting of student behaviors and concerns for welfare.
* Provide a safe and secure environment to all students while fostering the Catholic ethos of the College.

Qualifications & Experience

* Demonstrated commitment to contributing to a positive and collaborative environment.
* Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven awareness of Indigenous and cross-cultural community needs and sensitivities related to working in a cross-cultural environment.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively and politely with students, parents, school staff and members of the public.
* Good knowledge and understanding of the current issues and interests of tween/teen girls.
* Depth of understanding of duty of care and of risk aversion and compliance in the workplace.
* Willingness to complete the ABSA Duty of Care Course.
* A current driver's license and confidence in driving a '12 seat commuter' van.
* Experience in similar role would be an advantage.
* Up to date First aid and CPR.

Shifts

The College Boarding House operates 7 days per week. The Boarding Supervisor positions are full time, shifts as follows:

Full-time positions involve 7 shifts per fortnight (7 shifts), rotating weekdays and weekends evenly. Staff are required to sleep overnight 7 days per fortnight on boarding house premises. The work shifts are scheduled to accommodate these overnight stays.
