About the Role:
As our People & Culture Business Partner, you will provide proactive and strategic P&C advice to deliver high performance outcomes for our business leaders supporting key P&C initiatives.
This position will work within our Defence & Social Infrastructure sector with a truly diverse range of stakeholders and workforce. The sector delivers a comprehensive range of project management, engineering, operations, maintenance, and soft services nationally.
Accountable for your own portfolio, this is a true generalist role with a key focus on various P&C deliverables including employee relations, performance management, change management, workforce planning, engagement, training and development, coaching, and career talent management, as well as internal mobility and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
This position can be based from our office locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, or Perth, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.
6-month fixed-term position with a possible extension.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute people plans that enable delivery of business strategy.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders to achieve people objectives.
- Support resolution of employee relations issues, ensuring advice is timely, accurate, and legally compliant.
- Develop talent and organisational design strategies for efficient structures.
- Lead change management initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
- Assist with industrial relations negotiations for strategic outcomes.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to align budgets, headcounts, and remuneration.
- Contribute to workforce planning to optimize efficiencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with policies.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience as a P&C Business Partner in a complex, dispersed environment.
- Background in OD, providing solutions to operational challenges.
- Knowledge of change and talent management.
- Understanding of ER/IR legislation and unionized environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
