We're on the lookout for a Relief Cook / Community Manager to join our team, primarily based at Ingenia Goulburn Gardens, with broader support across Bathurst, Wagga, and the Goulburn region.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will see you physically present, actively involved, and fully immersed in the day-to-day life of our Gardens community. This is a hands‐on role where cooking plays a central part of the day‐to‐day; from preparing meals in the kitchen, to supporting residents face‐to‐face, you'll be a vital part of creating places where people feel safe, supported, and truly at home.
We're especially keen to hear from candidates with commercial kitchen experience; whether you've worked as a chef, cook, or in food service management, your skills will be highly valued here.

In this Role, You'll
* Prepare and serve meals for residents, ensuring quality, safety, and dietary needs are met
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and uphold food safety standards
* Support daily operations including site inspections, resident wellbeing, and emergency response
* Lead and coach team members
* Promote the community through events and resident engagement
* Ensure WHS compliance across kitchen and site operations
You're Likely a Match If You
* Have commercial cooking or chef experience, ideally in aged care, hospitality, or community settings
* Hold certifications like Food Safety Supervisor and First Aid, as well as a current driver's licence
* Are confident managing food service operations and interacting with residents
* Are physically capable of manual tasks including lifting, cleaning, and kitchen prep
* Are empathetic, professional, and thrive in a community-focused environment
* Bring strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams, give constructive feedback, and communicate effectively across all levels.
