Senior Accountant / Finance Manager - Property Funds
Our client is a global institutional Real Estate investor/manager seeking a qualified accountant with experience managing Real Estate funds to join their team. This is a new role supporting a recently launched fund focusing on investments in South East Asia.
The initial focus will be on investor financial reporting, investment valuation, performance analysis, and managing relationships with service providers including administrators and auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare Year-End Financial Statements for three Property Trusts.
* Account for and prepare monthly investor reports; assist with Property Trusts.
* Conduct performance analysis and measurement of investments and client accounts.
* Prepare investment and cash reconciliations.
* Generate quarterly investor reports, liaising with the investment team, investor services, and fund administrators.
* Manage cash flow and review investor drawdown notices.
* Collaborate with global investment management teams on transaction closings and deal support, including operational due diligence.
* Assist in the valuation process for investments in new fund vehicles, reviewing valuation policies and methodologies.
* Provide ad-hoc financial analysis, update records for AUM, transactions, fees, and reconciliations.
* Oversee IFRS financial statement audits with third-party administrators and auditors.
* Support tax compliance across various jurisdictions with the finance manager.
Person Specification:
* CA / CPA qualified with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
* Experience in audit/transaction services with Big Four or mid-tier firms, or at a real estate/private equity fund manager, or through audit experience.
* Previous experience in real estate or private equity fund management or audit.
* Strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication, and good commercial acumen.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a small team and larger platform.
