About The Role

We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to help us drive revenue growth. As a Sales Manager at Buildkite, you will be responsible for building and managing our sales team of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives based in the United States across multiple time zones. You will be responsible for the growth and health of the sales team as well as ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.You will be joining our growing Sales team reporting to the VP of Sales and Customer Success.
Areas of responsibility:
- Lead and manage the sales team through initiatives, setting targets, and motivating them to achieve set goals.-
- Coach, empower and mentor the sales team, providing guidance on effective sales techniques and world class customer service.-
- Identify training needs and work with the People team to provide ongoing training and development to the sales team.-
- Work together with the VP of Sales and CS to ensure implementation of sales strategies to increase revenue and drive market share.-
- Monitor and report on the team's performance to the leadership team, providing regular updates on sales metrics.-
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product, to ensure alignment on sales strategy and product positioning.-
- Identify new sales opportunities and develop relationships with potential customers.-
- Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely follow-up on sales leads.What we're looking for- Excellent listening, presentation and communication skills at all business levels-
- People manager at heart - A strong background in managing a high performing sales team and have demonstrable experience mentoring, leading and contributing to the professional development of those around you-
- Willingness to work across multiple timezones-
- The ability to build and maintain relationships internally and with customers-
- Experience in generating high quality sales reporting-
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals-
- A genuine drive to work in a high paced tech startup-
- Strong collaboration, time-management, influencing and prioritisation skills are critical to the success of this role-
- Have an understanding of CI/CD or adjacent technologiesBase salary: $150,000 - $180,000 USD
