Prospero Teaching is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Melbourne's south‐east to recruit a passionate and experienced TAS / Design & Technology Teacher for a Term 3 placement. This is a unique opportunity to inspire students through hands‐on learning, practical problem‐solving, and creativity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Deliver engaging lessons across Years 7–10 Design & Technology
* Teach Woodwork, Metalwork, and Textiles to Years 9–10
* Lead practical, project‐based learning that develops student skills and creativity
* Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards and student engagement
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
* Hold relevant secondary teaching qualifications (e.g. B.Ed., M.Teach)
* Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
* Demonstrate strong classroom management and student‐centred learning strategies
* Be passionate about fostering creativity, problem‐solving, and practical skills in students
* Thrive in a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic school environment
