About the role
Seeking a motivated Paralegal on a 12-month contract to support the General Counsel and legal team, with a strong focus on conveyancing and off-the-plan (OTP) property work. Ideal for an experienced conveyancer looking to step into a broader in-house role and build commercial/property development experience.
Key responsibilities and qualifications
Manage OTP and standard conveyancing matters: maintain OTP inboxes, prepare and review contracts and dealings, coordinate contract issues, amendments, exchanges and settlements.
Handle due diligence and PEXA work: order searches, prepare and lodge caveats/mortgages/withdrawals, and manage settlement workflows.
Support finance and acquisitions: liaise with external firms on presale requirements, assist with CPs, VOI and execution; help review transaction documents, track key dates, and assist with duty and stamping.
Document and admin support: set up and maintain OTP folders, draft documents from precedents, prepare documents for execution/DocuSign, basic research, reporting and general legal admin.
Several years' experience as a conveyancer or conveyancing paralegal, including solid exposure to off-the-plan developments and PEXA.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and communication, and confidence working with MS Office (especially Word and Excel).
Experience with ClickUp, TriSearch and/or a conveyancing licence would be an advantage but not essential.
