The role
OptoMed | Norwood, SA
OptoMed is a boutique optometry practice in Norwood known for its personalized care, curated eyewear, and attention to detail. We're looking for an experienced Optical Dispenser who takes pride in delivering a world-class patient experience.
Part Time - up to 32 hours a week. Up to $35 per hour.
The Role
You will work closely with the Optometrist as the key point of contact for patients - guiding them from booking to eyewear collection. It's a hands-on role where you'll manage everything front-of-house, from helping clients choose frames to processing lens orders.
Responsibilities
- Dispense premium eyewear, including Hoya and Essilor lenses
- Manage bookings, calls, and administrative tasks
- Deliver genuine, detailed care to every patient
- Represent boutique brands with confidence and style
About You
- 2+ years of experience as an Optical Dispenser
- Comfortable adjusting frames and making patients feel at ease
- Proactive, articulate, and genuinely interested in building lasting relationships
- Passion for eyewear, aesthetics, and detail
- Enjoy taking initiative and finding solutions
- Reliable, approachable, and genuinely cares about people
- Desire to keep learning and contributing to a business that values excellence
- Optomate experience is ideal
- A "no excuses, can-do" attitude is essential
