About the Role
This is a brand new position for us in Geelong, and a genuine opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an exciting government-backed initiative. As our first dedicated electrician in the region, you'll play a key role delivering the electrification program across residential and community properties throughout the Barwon Region.
The role has two core components — you'll begin by conducting property assessments, evaluating existing electrical infrastructure and identifying upgrade pathways, before moving into the hands-on delivery of the electrification works themselves. No two days look the same, and you'll have real ownership of your patch.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys operating autonomously, and wants to be part of something meaningful — helping households and communities transition to cleaner energy, one property at a time.
What You'll Be Doing
* Conducting detailed electrical assessments across residential properties throughout the Barwon Region
* Delivering electrification upgrade works — switchboard upgrades, circuit additions, EV-ready infrastructure and more
* Liaising with property occupants and stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner
* Completing compliance documentation, test reports, and certificates of electrical safety
* Collaborating with our broader plumbing and HVAC teams where needed
* Representing Egan Brothers to a high standard on every job
What We're Looking For
* Current A-Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria)
* Solid experience in domestic and light commercial electrical work
* Experience with switchboards, metering, and residential electrical upgrades (highly regarded)
* Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
* Valid driver's licence
* A motivated, self-driven attitude — you'll be working independently across the region
* Strong communication skills — you'll be dealing with clients and occupants daily
