The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled, people-centred leader to champion modern information governance and embed a culture of accountability across the organisation.
As Coordinator Corporate Information, you'll play a pivotal role in leading Council's corporate records and information systems - ensuring security, compliance, and service excellence. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this position leads a team of four and works cross-functionally to lift capability, enable digital transformation, and deliver on Council's statutory and strategic obligations.
In this role you will:
* Lead the improvements and delivery of Council's corporate information and records management systems
* Ensure compliance with the State Records Act, GIPA Act, and Privacy legislation
* Oversee and coach a dedicated team delivering quality, high-impact internal services
* Partner across Council to embed best practice, uplift capability, and drive digital maturity
* Support transformation projects that improve lifecycle management, security and accessibility
* Model values-based leadership in line with Council's culture program

What you'll need to succeed (Essential Criteria)
1. Tertiary qualifications in Records & Information Management, Business, Public Sector Governance or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
2. Proven experience leading records and information systems in a complex organisation
3. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and ability to translate compliance into practice
4. Demonstrated leadership capability - coaching teams, delivering results, and influencing change
5. Ability to build strong relationships, lead capability uplift, and champion accountability
6. High-level problem-solving and reporting skills using metrics, data and insights
7. A satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement
