As Ballarat Base Hospital undergoes a major $650 million redevelopment – with a new multi-level tower, expanded ED, 100 extra inpatient beds, upgraded theatres, helipad and a brand new EMR - you'll be part of shaping the future of emergency care in the Grampians Region.
With exceptional education infrastructure (including lecture theatres, videoconferencing, SIM rooms and a dedicated Education Resource Centre) and strong institutional support for research, audit and training, you'll have both the facilities and the vision to grow your career.

Your Complete 3-Year Training Package
* 2 years in a Tier 2 Emergency Department – Diverse, high-acuity caseload with excellent FACEM supervision (60,000+ presentations annually)
* 6 months in Intensive Care Unit – Master critical care skills under one-to-one supervision of Intensive Care Specialists
* 3 months in Anaesthetics – Perfect airway management expertise
* Tailored non-ED rotations – Aligned to individual learning needs and interests.
* Flexible network rotations – Opportunity to rotate to other sites within Grampians Health and complete all FACEM training requirements through the Accredited Training Network, which includes University Hospital Geelong and Warrnambool Base Hospital
