Fantastic opportunity for an EL1 Strategic Communications Manager to join a reputable Central Policy Agency that delivers benefits to all Australians.
You will work in small, energetic and highly skilled Communication team responsible for delivering a communication agenda on behalf of a Program developing and expanding Australian Government's Digital Identity System.
As the Strategic Communication Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing expansion by onboarding new services to the System and working with System partners to ensure a consistent narrative and brand experience.
This is initially a 12 month labour hire contract with two 6 month extension options. Civic location. Excellent rate negotiable commensurate with experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Increase the team's communications capacity and enhance the Digital Identity's brand and reputation.
- Promote the program to public and stakeholders including across federal and state governments as well as private sector
- Support the accreditation of new services to the System
- Help the Digital Identity program to meet its strategic communications objectives.
Much of the program's information is complex in nature and will draw on your expertise to support the business in producing high quality user focused content including web and social media, marketing collateral, and presentations
Essential to the role is attention to detail and managing multiple projects and timeframes to achieve high-quality outcomes.
The team works collaboratively, with an agile approach and a mindset of continuous improvement and a proactive 'can do' attitude to build awareness of the Australian Government Digital Identity System.
**Essential Requirements**:
- University degree in communications or related field
- At least 8 years work experience developing and implementing audience centred communications strategies in a complex environment
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects/ competing priorities and deliver to agreed timelines, with fast turnaround times across government and private sector stakeholders
- Experience in brand strategy development and management.
- Familiarity with Australian Government Branding Guidelines and WCAG accessibility requirements.
- Ability to distil complex information in Plain English, tailoring content for various audiences and an understanding of the Digital Service Standard and Style Manual
- Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain or maintain a baseline clearance
