What this role is about
Based in our ACT office, this role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to the delivery of high‑quality electrical services design across a diverse portfolio of projects.
You will play a key role in delivering building services projects across multiple sectors, working alongside senior engineers and shareholders who back your ideas and support your growth. With Lucid, you can create your own career adventure while building both technical, commercial and leadership capability.
How you'll contribute day‑to‑day
* Deliver electrical services design with technical excellence across varied projects
* Train and supervise graduate engineers assisting with projects under your direction
* Apply technical excellence in Electrical Services design
* Conduct Quality Assurance reviews on electrical deliverables in line with Lucid's QA policy
* Provide certification of design through sign‑off
* Interface with clients and contractors
* Prepare fee proposals and project bids
* Manage discipline elements through the full design lifecycle to construction and practical completion
* Lead within design teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
* Attend site inspections, project meetings, and prepare or review reports and minutes
* Attend industry events as a Lucid representative
What sets you up for success
* Has 3–7 years' Electrical Engineering experience
* Holds an Australian‑recognised degree in Engineering or relevant trade background
* Holds national and/or regional registrations (CPEng, NER, ACT registration, RPEQ or QBCC Designer Licence)
* Demonstrates excellent problem‑solving skills
* Has strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Is an Australian citizen (preferred) or permanent resident
* Has a strong understanding of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code
* Is proficient in CAD and Revit
* Brings diverse experience across a range of project types
* Can independently manage discipline elements on projects
* Shows strong organisation, attention to detail and commitment to high professional standards
* Brings a mindset of continuous improvement and ongoing development
