Recruitment Team Leader / Operations Manager – Labour Hire
About the Role
This senior, hands‐on leadership position oversees the day‐to‐day recruitment and operational functions of KMG Labour Hire's growing labour hire division across commercial construction, civil, mining, shutdowns, and infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia. The role partners closely with management to drive growth and maintain high standards of client service across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day‐to‐day operations of the labour hire division.
* Lead and manage a team of 5 office staff.
* Manage a workforce of 100+ employees across multiple projects and clients.
* Maintain daily liaison with the accounts team and recruitment team to ensure smooth operational performance.
* Build and maintain client relationships and manage site requirements.
* Work closely with site supervisors and project teams.
* Oversee the full 360 recruitment process, including sourcing, selecting, and onboarding.
* Identify and bring in new business opportunities and build client relationships.
* Understand and manage EBA and award rates across projects.
* Plan workforce mobilisation and placements, ensuring correct documentation and compliance.
* Ensure recruitment workflows and placements are managed correctly through JobAdder.
* Oversee onboarding, compliance, and workforce documentation.
* Support payroll, rates, and operational processes where required.
* Improve systems, structure, and operational efficiency within the business.
* Assist management with business growth and strategic planning.
Essential Criteria
* Minimum 5+ years experience within labour hire or blue‐collar recruitment.
* Strong understanding of labour hire operations and workforce management.
* Previous leadership or management experience.
* Experience managing large blue‐collar workforces and office teams.
* Strong knowledge of EBA rates, awards, and blue‐collar pay structures.
* Extensive JobAdder experience.
* Experience managing high‐volume recruitment and operational workflows.
* Strong understanding of commercial construction, civil, mining, or shutdown environments.
* Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast‐paced environment.
* Highly motivated, solutions‐focused, and hands‐on approach.
