Position Summary
Ross Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support mechanical engineering design activities across a range of industrial projects. The role applies engineering technology principles to detailed design, documentation, and technical support under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed mechanical designs, CAD drawings, and specifications.
* Perform mechanical design calculations including stress, load, and material selection analysis. -
* Assist with prototype development, fabrication support, and testing activities. -
* Apply Australian Standards and engineering best practices to mechanical designs. -
* Liaise with engineers, workshop personnel, and project stakeholders. -
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation and drawings. -
* Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.
Skills and Experience

o Qualification in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related discipline. -
* Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD. -
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. -
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills. -
* Experience in fabrication or heavy industry environments is desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
