Central to the business' success is a model that involves developing and leasing its commercial and industrial properties and providing services to tenants across an expansive operating precinct.
Reporting direct to the Group Financial Controller (GFC), this role carries a primary responsibility for analytical, financial, and management reporting support, ensuring timeliness and accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, to enable quality, informed decision-making across the business.
Responsibilities
Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reporting.
Delivery of variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year results.
Develop financial models to assess project profitability, lease scenarios, and capital project returns.
Coordination of the annual budget and outgoings budget processes in collaboration with business unit managers, and the GFC.
Support the year-end and half year audit processes, liaising with external auditors.
Manage asset registers, depreciation schedules, and revaluation adjustments.
Ensure compliance with AASB, Corporations Act, and taxation requirements (BAS, FBT, PAYG, GST).
Maintain integrity of financial data within the ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC).
Qualifications
The successful person will be professionally qualified with at least 5 years' experience in management accounting or financial analysis, ideally within property, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries.
They will lead a small team, and should possess a detail, accuracy and timeliness mindset, with an everyday focus on data integrity, compliance, and continuous systems improvement.
