Rehabilitation Counsellor Career
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with physical or psychological injuries to return to work and lead fulfilling lives.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Providing initial assessments, psychometric testing, and brief interventions for job seekers facing psychosocial and mental health barriers to employment
* Conducting new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, and recovery support
* Aiding injured workers in their return to same employment through case management
* Assessing and reporting on psychological functional capacities and completing psychological functional assessments
* Evaluating the effects of mental health and medical conditions on an individual's ability to work
* Preparing detailed case notes and reports
* Working with veterans to support their psychosocial, medical, and return-to-work goals
* Opportunities to provide Adjustment to Injury counselling and Vocational Counselling in-person and via phone to support clients' rehabilitation

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Masters of Rehabilitation Counselling
* Eligibility for ASORC or RCAA accreditation upon graduating
* Graduation within the last 12 months or scheduled for 2025
* Agreement to undergo a pre-employment national criminal check prior to employment
* Australian working rights
* A full driver's license, your own vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
