Overview
BlueCare is seeking a Clinical Nursing Consultant to join the Statewide Palliative Care Service in Queensland. The CNC will provide high‑quality leadership and expert palliative care advice related to complex care issues and deliver nursing care within the scope of our clinical practice. You will develop, implement, monitor and review care plans to meet client health care needs and promote quality of life. Travel to Townsville or Cairns is available as part of the role.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality leadership and expert palliative care advice for complex care issues.
- Develop, implement, monitor and review care plans to meet client health care needs and promote quality of life.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic palliative care in home, clinic or community settings.
- Support innovative service models and ongoing development of the palliative care program across metropolitan and regional areas.
- Travel to required locations as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse licence and Registration Certificate to practice in the state of employed.
- Postgraduate qualifications in palliative care or working towards; demonstrated extensive clinical experience in palliative care.
- Proven ability to provide clinical leadership and flexible, responsive management.
- Experience with relevant funding streams and knowledge of palliative care funding.
- Ability to travel for varying periods and a current driver’s licence with capacity to drive in rural and remote Queensland.
- Robust communication skills with clients and stakeholders and a commitment to person‑centred care.

- Salary: $66.27 - $68.08 per hour + salary packaging benefits + staff discounts.
