About the Opportunity
As a Senior Accountant you will be working alongside clients and team members to achieve our key goal of providing the highest quality of service.
We are looking for a proactive, experienced Senior Accountant to support our clients in achieving their business goals. Mentoring a small team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional outcomes greatly appreciated by our clients. Be a vital part of a team that helps clients prosper in an ever changing business environment and make a real difference in their lives and the lives of their families.

Key Responsibilities:
* Motivate a small, high-performing team, overseeing workflow allocation, budgets, and capacity planning to ensure all lodgement deadlines are met.
* Prepare and review a broad range of tax compliance work, including End-of-Year accounts, BAS, FBT, and Tax planning.
* Mentor, coach, and develop a team of skilled and motivated professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive focused environment.
* Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, communicating effectively across face-to-face meetings, phone, email, and Zoom/Teams.
* Provide practical tax advice to clients, including Income Tax, CGT, GST, PAYG, FBT, Payroll Tax, Division 7A.
* Prepare financial statements and income tax returns using electronic workpapers, ensuring accuracy and best-practice compliance.
* Assess accuracy of financial statements, tax returns, and supporting workpapers, maintaining high technical and quality standards across the team.
Key Requirements and Experience:
* A completed degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 5 years experience in Australian public practice, with a strong background in taxation and team management.
* CA / CPA qualification.
* Proven experience leading a team of professionals in a public practice environment.
* Strong professional presence and credibility when engaging with clients and colleagues, demonstrated in a similar role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex matters clearly and confidently.
* Experience with the taxation of Superannuation Funds is highly regarded.
* A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, teach, show initiative, and contribute positively as a collaborative team member.
