The Role (what you'll actually do)
You'll take ownership of structural delivery on assigned projects — with senior support when it matters — across industrial and commercial structures, including:
* Structural analysis and design across steel, concrete, footings, slabs and lateral systems
* Producing clear, buildable documentation where design intent stays aligned from calcs through to drawings
* Shop drawing reviews, site queries, inspections, and practical construction‐stage problem solving
* Coordinating with builders, fabricators, architects and project teams to keep delivery moving
* Maintaining strong QA and contributing to continuous improvement of standards and templates
What "great" looks like in this role
In the first 3 months, you'll be:
* Owning defined scopes and delivering buildable outputs
* Making good judgement calls on when to elevate — and when to push forward
* Building trusted working relationships with our internal team and key external stakeholders
About you
We're looking for someone who is technically strong and practical.
You'll likely have:
* ~3–7 years structural engineering experience (consulting ideally)
* Confidence designing and detailing steel and concrete building systems
* A practical approach to construction‐stage realities (RFIs, shop drawings, site coordination)
* Strong communication, project/time management, and QA discipline
* Progress toward CPEng/RPEQ is welcome (not essential)
* To be considered, you must have full working rights in Australia — Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian Permanent Residency.
