About the Role
As an Emergency Medical Transport Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and transportation services to individuals in need. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of patients from one healthcare facility to another, while maintaining their dignity and comfort throughout the journey.
* Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide appropriate interventions during transport
* Administer high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
* Foster positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
* Work independently and make sound judgments within established policies and procedures
* Collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve optimal outcomes
Key Qualifications
* A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), or Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), or Bachelor of Nursing (with AHPRA registered nurse registration), or other equivalent qualification for Ambulance Officers recognized by RFDS or DHHS
* For Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) qualified - evidence of successful completion of required clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment, completion of a minimum of 400 hours operational experience under the direct supervision of a clinical instructor, successful completion of clinical skills assessment
* Ability to work varied shifts, including 10 and 12-hour rotations across 7 days
* Valid driver's license with experience driving in both city and country traffic conditions
* Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and dedication to providing exceptional patient care
