We are currently looking for a high calibre Merchandise Sales Executive as part of the Perth Glory Football Club's merchandise and licensing program comprising retail store, online and event sales.
The Merchandise Sales Executive will be responsible for assisting in driving sales for the team store, online and on game day via merchandise outlets and building a sustainable and profitable merchandise retail program. You will ensure that strategic goals and sales targets are met by maximising sales and gross profit, regularly reviewing and reporting on sales performance, controlling expenses and managing inventory.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Sales
* Implementing retail marketing and sales strategies for in-store, online and event days
* Actively selling products and developing relationships with new and existing customers to deliver on sales targets and KPIs
* Providing outstanding customer service
* Assisting in the management of inventory control, including regular stock checks and stocktakes against budgets.
* Execution of monthly, annual and multi-year marketing plans encompassing strategies for pre-season, in-season and post-season across store, online and game day channels
* Co-ordinating Marketing & Promotional activity with the Marketing and Communications teams
* Execution of visual merchandising, theming, and signage within the store.
* Fulfilment of online retail orders and maintenance of the online store
Game Day & Events
* Assisting with the set up, stocking and staffing of all game day retail outlets, including bump in and bump out.
* Assisting with the maintenance of the Point of Sale System, including the uploading of products, and the settlement of sales
* Assisting to train and supervise casual staff.
* Assisting in the development of game day offers and key product promotions.
* Assisting with the management of storage and stock movement.
The successful candidate will have:
Essential
* Minimum three years' experience in retail management
* Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and budgets
* Strong retail customer service experience
* Ability to prioritise and multi-task
* Highly self-motivated and forward thinking
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
* Highly organised with a keen eye and exceptional attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills and friendly disposition
* Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Retail sales experience in professional sport is desired, but not mandatory
* Requirement to work after-hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Current drivers Licence
* Australian work rights are required for this position
Desirable
* Experience with Point of Sale systems
* Sports merchandise retail management experience
* A qualification in retail, merchandising or relevant discipline
