As an organisation, we pride ourselves on being a leading sports and entertainment centre, delivering a community focused hub through various sport codes, entertainment events, business functions and family moments supported with delicious cuisines and refreshing beverages.About the role:The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, in compliance with all applicable legislation, awards, and internal policies.In addition, the role supports the finance team with various accounts processing tasks, including reconciliations, reporting, and general financial administration. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate employee and financial records, supporting audit and reporting obligations, and contributing to the efficient operation of BSL’s payroll and accounts systems.What you’ll be doing: Processing payroll on a fortnightly basis. First point of contact for payroll queries, including questions on staff entitlements and deductions. Maintaining the payroll system and employee records. Assisting with Accounts Payable and Receivable. Assisting with financial administration as needed to provide back up support and during peak times. Monthly HR administration tasks.What we’re looking for: Previous extensive experience in payroll processing. Proficient in using payroll and accounting software. Previous experience in WageEasy, Deputy and Xerowould be highly desirable. Previous experience in accounts and basic accounting principles would be looked upon favourably. Very strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines. Knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Superannuation Guarantee and Single Touch Payroll reporting requirements.
