The Job Setting : The Health Service in Wellington provides a 24 hour Emergency Department, 12 acute inpatient beds, a four chair Dialysis Unit, Ambulatory Care Unit that provides in house and outreach services, a Primary and Community Health Unit, and a seven day Opioid Treatment Program that serves 40 clients per day. There is an x-ray department that is operated 5 days per week during business hours. Pharmacy Services are provided via telehealth. The locum GP will be covering a busy ED, plus 12 ward beds. VMOs are onsite from 08:00 to 22:00 hours, and then on call overnight as required for the triage 1's, 2's and some 3's. Signing off pathology results on the system that are outstanding. You will work very closely with other team members at the hospital. Hours : 08:00-22:00 on-site. On-call overnight Rate : From $3000-$3500 per day. Provisions : A two bedroom fully self-contained house across the road from the facility is available for locum doctors. Flights and hire car provided.
