About this role
We are seeking an experienced security technician to maintain and support the security systems deployed at a Southern Queensland correctional precinct.
Key responsibilities:
* Maintain and perform routine and preventative maintenance activities for security systems, including SMS, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, video analytics, perimeter detection, intercom, networks, and general IT.
* Submit notice of disruption documentation to customers and liaise to schedule appropriate times for preventative maintenance.
* Complete and manage maintenance procedures and records required for routine and preventative maintenance, including sign-off and submission of test records as proof of work performed.
* Report system faults requiring corrective maintenance to facility managers to generate corrective work orders where required.
* Supervise and escort subcontractors required for routine maintenance on equipment maintained by others, ensuring they complete relevant test records and submit them as proof of work performed.
* Maintain site drawings, schedules, as-built configuration, spares records, and other documentation as required, providing updates in accordance with the security configuration management policy due to authorized site changes.
* Perform directed changes to a site's configuration or updates to software versions as directed by project or engineering teams or facility managers – security services.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with excellent customer liaison skills, strong troubleshooting abilities, and experience with IP-based systems, security systems IT hardware, and Gallagher access control and intruder alarm systems.
