Our Restructuring & Recovery team administers all forms of insolvency, reconstruction, and recovery appointments, no matter the size or the issues at hand. We are expanding and seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Accountant to join our Brisbane team. In this role, you will leverage your experience and accounting and finance skills to oversee small to medium appointments, prepare briefs and oversee commercial litigation, conduct solvency analyses, and prepare detailed reports. You will also stay current with industry practices and contribute to our firm's continuous improvement and culture.Report directly to directors and managers on day-to-day operations of appointmentsLead diverse investigationsLiaise with creditors, banks, and statutory authoritiesInvestigate distressed companies' financial affairsCollaborate on complex technical issues with directors, managers, and business leadersPrioritize and manage workloads to meet deadlinesAnalyze financial statements and related dataConduct high-level solvency analysesPrepare detailed reports and client communications.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout youTertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce with an Accounting majorCA and IPA qualified or in progressProven Australian experience in a similar role within an insolvency environment across personal and corporate insolvencyComprehensive knowledge of technical accounting concepts including Corporations Act, Bankruptcy Act, and relevant insolvency law.Previous experience with computerized accounting systems e.g. INSOL, MYOB, APSA high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skillsProven time management skills and high level of attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressureExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork and the ability to build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.About the Vincents experienceOur people are our greatest strength.
