The role: Hotel Manager (Assistant)
Resource Accommodation Management (RAM) owns and operates an accommodation Village in Norseman and the iconic Norseman Hotel.
The Hotel also provides meals and accommodation and has a bottleshop. We serve a mixture of Norseman residents, Village occupants and travelers.
RAM is upgrading the facility and has installed Swiftpos for the business.
This role is offered on a FIFO roster of 2 weeks on, one week off to support the Manager. On the Manager's week off, this role will run the Hotel, and when the manager is back, this person will be the Front of House Manager for that week.
Flights to and from Perth, accommodation and meals while on roster will be provided.
What this role involves:
* Managing the Licenced Premises
* Staff rostering and training
* Stock control
* Managing the Swiftpos system
* Running the bottleshop
* Managing procurement, opportunistic purchase of specials
* Kitchen management (in conjunction with the Village management)
* Strong community / patron liaison
* Coordination with local stakeholders such as Police
What we require from you:
* Strong experience in pub style hotel operations.
* Experience in a remote community (preferred)
* Appropriate Certification to manage licenced premises.
* A manual drivers' license (preferred) and forklift license (desirable)
* A progressive, can do attitude with a friendly, approachable style.
