The Casino Food Company Limited is a leading export-focused food processor with facilities in Casino and Booyong near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers region of the NSW Far North Coast.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Accountant to join our team here at the Casino Food Company. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role provides accurate and timely financial information to senior management and stakeholders, enabling informed decision making across the business. The Group Accountant will manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and lead the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team.
* Ensure tax compliance through accurate reconciliations, documentation, and advisory support.
* Maintain full compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and external regulatory obligations.
* Oversee reporting, audits, and internal controls to maintain strong governance.
* Strengthen financial controls, risk management processes, and compliance frameworks across the organisation.
* Prepare and review monthly financial reports to present to the Board and Senior Leadership Team.
Skills & Experience Required:
* CA/CPA qualified with significant experience in financial control, reporting, and compliance.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
* Minimum 7 years' experience in financial accounting, preferably in a commercial setting.
* Advanced experience within ERP systems and Microsoft excel.
* Proven ability to lead a finance team.
* Experience with tax compliance, audits, and financial governance.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
