About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Surgical Ward Clinical Nurse Specialistto join our clinical team on a part time, fixed term (12 month leave relief) basis with a minimum 68 hours per fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster, with occasional weekend shifts available.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
* Lead the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
* Manage team rosters, workloads and delegation of tasks
* Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
* Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
* Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
* Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world‐class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
* Solid experience in Surgical Ward nursing.
* Experience with below specialties desirable
* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
* Current AHPRA registration
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* A true commitment to delivering high quality patient care
