About The Role
In this rewarding position you will be assisted to work with clients to promote their goals, support the development of their skills and abilities, whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible. Support Workers are required to provide frontline support to clients, implement plans, complete records, complete daily living & healthy lifestyle tasks, behave in a certain manner, and promote safety & transparency in all endeavours. What We Are Looking For
Our ideal applicant is a dedicated professional with a desire to make positive differences in the lives of others. We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. This job has the potential to become on going for the right candidate. You will be a skilled communicator with demonstrated skills in providing care to others. We provide on the job training & support, there are also set criteria (below) which you must meet. We are able to assist you in obtaining and connecting with the required skills, qualifications, and certificates.
Criteria
Only Apply if you are able to work the following shifts:
1. Sleepover shifts - 2pm - 10pm sleepover finishing at 6am
2. Active Night shifts 8pm/10pm - 6am
3. Weekends
* Cert III (or greater) in relevant industry qualification and/or significant relevant experience
* Background in BEHAVIOURAL SUPPORT is highly regarded
* Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
* Understanding of the Disability Standards
* Consistently ethical conduct & practice
* Demonstrated understanding of a person-centred approach
* Ability to follow established support work practices.
* Knowledge and/or experience in the mental health field
* Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect with clients.
* Ability to follow individual support plans & use digital systems.
Strong use of Digital Systems including, but not limited to:
* Deputy Rostering
* SWAG – Employment Hero
* Microsoft Suite
* Microsoft Teams
* Microsoft Forms
Following checks:
* Drivers Licence & safe driving record
* Own vehicle with Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Valid NDIS Worker Check
* Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain upon employment)
* Current WWCC
