We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Joondalup Resort. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple outlets, including our restaurant, café, and event spaces, delivering high-quality food and exceptional service in a dynamic hospitality environment.
This position is covered under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA) pay rate.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within a section
* Assist The head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
* Assist with monthly stock take counts for all food and dry store items
* Ensure hygienic and functional standards in the kitchen by maintaining hygiene registers and schedules
* Provide support and guidance to junior kitchen employees
Candidate working in this outlet will demonstrate:
* Formal qualifications in commercial cookery
* At least 3 years' experience in a busy, formal dining a la carte restaurant setting (experience within a five-star hotel environment will be highly regarded)
* Work experience on sections including but not limited to grill, pans, pizza, fryers, larder and pastry
* Impeccable hygiene standards to ensure compliance with relevant Occupational Health and Safety procedures, including knowledge of HACCP
* Proper stock control, ordering and rotation
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
* Desire to work in an energetic team setting
* Impeccable professional attitude including care for personal grooming, punctuality and service quality
* Great attention to detail
* Ability to train and develop junior staff
