Electronics Equipment Trades Worker Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar environment and hold a formal qualification in electronics and communications.
* Inspect, diagnose, and repair domestic and commercial audio-visual products and systems in a workshop and/or on-site environment.
* Examine and test electronic systems, equipment, and components to diagnose and isolate faults.
* Adjust, repair, and replace worn, defective, or faulty parts, components, and wiring, and perform general maintenance on electronic systems and instruments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Reassembling, testing operating, and calibrating electronic equipment and systems to ensure performance, reliability, and adherence to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
2. Installing, configuring, and commissioning electronic equipment and cabling systems in domestic and commercial settings, adhering to specifications and technical documentation.
3. Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining control systems and all aspects of the equipment.
4. Utilizing specialized electronic testing equipment and hand tools to perform complex repairs and replacements of componentry (e.g., motherboards, projector modules).
