**The Role**
Reporting to the APS6 L&D Coordinator, the primary focus of the role is to investigate training courses, liaise with training presenters, coordinate referrals and engage Submarine Domain personnel in a range of learning solutions that link to their individual Professional Development and Career Plans.
You will:
- Investigate internal and external training courses that offer a variety of training options including virtual classrooms, face to face and online learning.
- Liaise with Registered Training Providers, Defence Learning Branch, CASG Professionalisation and internal and external presenters and be responsible for the administration and referral process to training courses.
- Respond to L&D enquiries via the Submarine Group Training mailbox.
- Provide assistance to the L&D Coordinator with CSMP recruitment activities.
- Be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
- Reveal highly developed interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, particularly the ability to gain cooperation from others to achieve Defence L&D outcomes.
**About our Team**
The Collins Submarine Program within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia's Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation.
The L&D function supports the Submarine Domain in the facilitation of learning and development to broaden knowledge and skill sets to support the growth of the workforce.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Officer who will:
- Investigate and promote L&D activities and professional career growth and progression that link to staff's individual Professional Development and Career Plans.
- Monitor staff skills and training needs, coordinate appropriate development activities and encourage staff participation in internal and external Face to Face and Virtual training.
- Work collaboratively in a team based environment actively participating in and contributing to team meetings and exchange information to support the work area and team objectives.
- Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders and contribute to the maintenance of a strong customer focus.
- Support the APS6 L&D Coordinator in facilitating CSMP recruitment actions and liaise with Submarine Workforce Team to implement these actions.
