The Opportunity
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, this role involves completing equipment repairs and maintenance to a high standard to ensure the production plant and utilities operate with safe, reliable production within approved budgets. This is a permanent full-time role which operates on an 8:6 day shift, 7:7 night shift FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.
Key Responsibilities
Complete of daily Boilermaking / Welding activities to achieve the maintenance plan as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor.
Ensure all work orders are completed properly to a consistent high quality in PRONTO.
Provide information and experience to assistants in their duties.
Participate in special projects whenever required.
Maintain punctuality at all times.
Ensure parts are used properly within the work order task descriptions as intended.
Ensure all unused parts are returned for credit and placed immediately back to stores warehouse.
Ensure that on completion of repair, all parts removed are cleaned and tagged with information tags noting the associated work order details.
Ensure all company tools are returned to the proper area (e.g. tool cabinets, tool storage areas) after use on a daily basis.
Ensure that the surrounding work area and workshops are maintained in a clean and safe state.
Raise improvement opportunity ideas with Mechanical Supervisor or Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
Communication
Effectively communicate with people while interacting with them.
Provide clear feedback to Maintenance Supervisors regarding job allocation, job details, work methods timeframes and allow for adequate feedback.
Ensure feedback is written on work orders and work instruction documents to assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
Raise concerns immediately, when warranted, to supervisors or Maintenance & Engineering Manager in an open environment.
About You
Trade Certificate – Boilermaking/ Welding
WA C class driver's licence.
Fixed Plant maintenance experience in a mining processing plant environment.
Ability to work well in a team in remote areas.
Strong commitment towards safety and quality.
Motivated and hard working with a professional attitude.
