Disability Support Worker Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support services to individuals with disabilities in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Passive Sleep Over: Overnight support where the worker is required to be awake when the participant is awake and available to provide support to the participant during the overnight period.
* Manual Handling: Aid clients with mobility challenges through proper manual handling techniques and assisting with exercises.
* Community Engagement: Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities.
* Domestic Duties: Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean-living environment.
Requirements:
* Australian Federal Police Clearance
* Cert 3 or 4 in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care and Disability)
* Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
* NDIS Workers Screening Check and workers module
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required)
* Smartphone with internet access
