We are currently recruiting Advanced Trainee Registrars - Emergency Medicine to join the team on a full-time, fixed-term basis commencing in semester one (February 2026) and semester two (August 2026). This role is suitable for T2 and T3 trainees.
* One-on-one time with enthusiastic FACEMs - every shift.
* Inpatient services include a 12-bed ICU, 16-bed CCU, Special Care Nursery, and 13 theatres.
* Over 17,000 patients per year, with approximately 15% paediatric presentations and 25% admissions.
* ACEM-accredited for up to 6 months of advanced training in ED (linked with University Hospital Geelong).
* Excellent exposure to a wide variety of pathologies in a mixed Emergency setting.

The Position
* Manage Emergency Department (ED) patients under the supervision of Emergency Medicine Consultants.
* Supportive FACEM-led team-based care.
* Work with hospital nursing staff to facilitate patient management, including completing pathology requests, booking radiology and other procedures, and following up on investigation results.
* Carry out procedures within your capabilities and experience.
* Commit to a team approach in delivering care, working closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, pastoral care, and other clinicians both onsite and offsite.
* Communicate and liaise with General Practitioners, Consultants, and Specialists as appropriate.
* Document findings in the patient’s medical record and complete all related documentation.
* Develop strong relationships with other managers and professional groups within and outside the organization to foster service improvements.
* Participate in after-hours and weekend rosters.
You must be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), with at least 3 years of clinical experience, demonstrated clinical and procedural experience in an ED setting, and be an ACEM trainee.
You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate clinical and procedural competence appropriate for a Registrar role.
