Outline Duties / Knowledge
Seeking a Head Chef to work on a casual contract till the end of December 2025, working 40 hours Monday till Friday.
Responsible for leading approximately 30 staff across 3 bases in Adelaide (must have a presence across all sites to support the teams).
Ensuring compliance with a set national menu, food health, safety and hygiene standards, stock take, ordering, liaising with suppliers, delegating tasks, and managing staff.
The role involves the majority of fresh cooking, with a small component of chill and reheat.
Skills and Attributes
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (Australian recognised)
* 3+ years' experience in kitchen management, leadership, and food safety across large-scale food service environments (e.g., Defence, Mining, Hospitals, Universities), servicing a minimum of 600 meals per day
* Strong communication skills
* Australian Citizen
* Australian Driver's license and vehicle
* Able to pass a pre-employment medical
* Hold or be able to obtain Baseline Defence Clearance
