The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service delivery, high guest satisfaction, and strong front of house leadership. This role is hands-on and service focused, with responsibility for supporting staff, maintaining standards, and assisting with operational planning during both regular service and busy periods.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager acts as a key point of support on the floor, leading by example and helping create a professional, welcoming, and efficient service environment.
Role Structure & Benefits
This position operates predominantly within day-time hours, generally between 9:00am and 5:00pm, supporting lunch service, events, and operational requirements. Availability to work weekends and public holidays is essential due to the nature of the business.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Support the Restaurant Manager in all front of house operations
• Lead service during shifts and act as floor supervisor when required
• Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance support
• Help manage rosters, staffing levels, and shift coverage
• Maintain service, presentation, and cleanliness standards
• Deliver a high level of guest experience and handle customer enquiries
• Assist in resolving service issues calmly and professionally
• Support events, functions, and peak trading periods
• Ensure compliance with RSA, WHS, and venue procedures
