A large-scale industrial project requires a highly skilled professional to oversee and lead the health, safety, and environmental initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and implement effective HSE management systems.
HSE Leadership and Management
The HSE Manager will be responsible for:
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining the project-specific HSE management plan.
* Providing guidance and leadership to ensure a safe working environment across all project phases.
* Promoting a proactive safety culture through engagement, training, and consistent communication.
* Advising project leadership on HSE-related issues, risks, and strategies.
Compliance and Standards
The HSE Manager will ensure:
* Compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
* Incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
* Maintenance of records and documentation in compliance with legal and company standards.
Training and Awareness
The HSE Manager will deliver:
* HSE training programs for project staff and subcontractors.
* Ensuring all employees and contractors understand and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
* Toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.
Risk Management
The HSE Manager will manage:
* Project-specific HSE risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
* Implementation of control measures for high-risk activities, including confined space work, heavy lifting, and working at height.
Environmental Stewardship
The HSE Manager will monitor and manage:

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Certifications: NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH membership, or equivalent qualifications. Environmental management certifications (e.g., ISO 14001) are advantageous.
* Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of HSE management experience on large industrial or construction projects.
* Proven track record of implementing and managing HSE systems in a high-risk environment.
* Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
