The population of Maclean is approximately 3,000 and it is 2 hours from the Gold Coast.

Qualifications
* The GP we seek must have at least 2 years of general practice experience.
* The GP must attend the ALS course (if not already done so within the last 3 years) within the first year at the practice.
Clinical Competencies
* The GP must be competent in general practice medicine, including general medicine and surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology, preventive health, chronic disease management, and mental health.
* The GP will be expected to competently perform the following procedures: Pap smears, vaccinations, CPR.
* It is desirable, but not essential, that the GP has experience in the excision of simple skin lesions.
* At least 2 years post qualification experience
* Experience in managing chronic diseases is desirable.
* Experience in general practice environment
* Demonstrate a knowledge of and compliance with all relevant legislation and common law obligations.
* Demonstrate patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs.
