About Us Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank’s small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. Business Lending (BL) is a product and specialised sales team that offers working capital, business loans, asset finance, corporate finance, and property finance to our customers. It also has responsibility for Line 1 risk and controls for these products. BL is directly responsible for product management, process management, portfolio and pricing management. It works closely with bankers, data and analytics, digital and customer experience teams. About the Team The Pricing & Capital Team is accountable for Business Lending price settings and approvals, optimisation of capital efficiency for business lending customers, and analysis of relationship and portfolio returns to drive the Business Bank’s strategic growth objectives and risk adjusted returns. Role Overview We are seeking a collaborative and analytical individual to join our team as Manager - Business Lending Portfolio Analytics. This role involves developing and maintaining a comprehensive analytics suite (descriptive and predictive), generating actionable insights, and contributing to strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain a robust portfolio analytics framework for Business Lending. Transform rich data assets into meaningful insights that inform pricing strategies. Apply commercial acumen to create analytics that support portfolio management. Collaborate with team members to develop systematic processes and operationalise analytics. Continuously improve tools and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Present insights to senior stakeholders to influence strategy and decision-making. Contribute to the design and implementation of pricing strategies that deliver value. Support the maintenance and enhancement of the DPX pricing business rules engine. Select and apply appropriate analytic frameworks, tools, and data to test hypotheses. Work cross-functionally with other teams to promote effective use of data and insights. Manage pricing data infrastructure and generate actionable analytics. Provide recommendations on Transfer Pricing treatment for Business Lending products. We Welcome Applications From Individuals Who Have 2–4 years of experience with strong SQL programming skills and experience managing large data assets. Demonstrate the ability to translate data into business outcomes. Approach complex problems with curiosity and structured thinking, even when information is incomplete. Possess a solid understanding of business finance concepts. Communicate and visualise data effectively, delivering clear recommendations across diverse stakeholder groups. Preferred Have experience in commercial lending or business banking. Are proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS. Understand how to apply mathematical and statistical methods to generate insights. Have experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, R-shiny, Tableau, or Excel.
