IM Partners is recruiting exclusively on behalf of SA Construct for multiple experienced carpenters / cladders to work on commercial projects across the Adelaide Metro area.
These are full-time roles on commercial projects including schools, hospitals and multi-residential developments.
About the role
You will be working on structured commercial sites installing external cladding systems as part of a coordinated build programme. The work requires accuracy, consistency, the ability to work from drawings without constant direction, read plans, follow site programmes, work productively as part of a crew, and maintain quality under live construction conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Installing cladding systems on commercial projects
* Working from drawings, elevations and site plans
* Setting out and preparing wall systems
* Installing battens, framing and support structures
* Fitting insulation and weatherproofing layers
* Cutting and fixing cladding materials to specification
* Maintaining quality standards and ensuring finished work is compliant and fit for purpose
* Working productively with supervisors, leading hands and other trades on site
* Maintaining clean, safe and organised work areas
* Complying with all site safety requirements, SWMS, policies and lawful directions
What we are looking for
To be considered, you will have:
* Proven experience in commercial construction, ideally cladding, carpentry or a similar trade
* Demonstrated experience installing facades on commercial construction projects
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measurements
* Sound understanding of installation methods, materials and safe work practices
* Confidence working at heights and in active site environments
* Reliable attendance, solid work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
* Relevant tickets, licences or certifications required to perform the role lawfully and safely
The following will be viewed favourably:
* Experience with cladding, architectural roofing or sheet metal roofing systems
* EWP, Working at Heights or other relevant site tickets
* Experience across new build and live construction environments
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
These are full-time roles based in South Australia, with priority project locations in Northern and Southern Adelaide. Remuneration will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and will depend on experience, capability and overall fit for the role.
Salary from $90,000+
