Job Overview
This role will support direct material procurement and supply chain management within the business, engaging cross-functional stakeholders and utilizing effective supplier relationship techniques to enhance commercial and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a strategic sourcing plan for assigned commodities
* Assemble request for quote (RFQ) packages, execute competitive quoting and benchmarking activities, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms
* Support cross-functional teams in implementing new product launches, design changes, and process improvements
* Collaborate with the supplier quality team and assigned suppliers to improve performance, quality, and reliability
* Develop cost savings initiatives through resourcing activities, value analysis/value engineering, and supplier negotiations
* Work with other sourcing team members to ensure strategy optimization and alignment
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or Engineering
* 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
Preferred Skills:
* Practical use of supplier management and sourcing principles, with expertise in negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship building
* Analytical and computer-related skills, with proficiency in Oracle or similar systems
* Ability to manage multiple key activities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
