Salary: Clerk Grade 3/4, Salary ($84,659 pa - $92,701 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Administration Officer plays a valued support role within the Department of Communities and Justice, contributing to the delivery of infrastructure and workplace projects across NSW. Working within Infrastructure & Assets, the role helps ensure projects are well‐coordinated, compliant and professionally supported, enabling senior project staff to focus on delivery outcomes that benefit communities.
What You'll Do
As part of the Programs and Partnerships team within Infrastructure and Assets, the Administration Officer provides practical administrative support across multiple projects, including coordinating meetings, preparing routine correspondence, maintaining records, and supporting project documentation and reporting.
The role also assists with purchasing, invoice processing, and updating systems such as SharePoint and Smartsheet, helping keep information accurate, accessible and up to date. From time to time, the role may involve travel to project sites or regional locations to support project activities, and a current NSW Driver Licence is required. It is a varied and well‐supported role that offers exposure to project environments while working within established processes and guidance.
The successful candidate will join the Program Delivery team within Programs & Partnerships - Communities, a collaborative and supportive group focused on delivering high‐quality workplace and infrastructure outcomes. The team works closely with a range of internal stakeholders and specialist areas, values clear communication and teamwork, and fosters a positive, inclusive environment where people are supported to learn and grow. This is a professional, fast‐paced setting with a strong focus on shared outcomes, respect and practical problem‐solving.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is organised, reliable and keen to contribute as part of a team. They will have sound administrative experience, good attention to detail, and confidence using common business systems such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint or similar tools. Experience supporting projects, handling records, or assisting with finance or procurement processes will be well regarded, as will strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable approach. This role suits someone who enjoys supporting others, managing competing priorities, and building a foundation for future career development within a project or public sector environment.
